tribi has been founded by artists and gallerists who, through time in each profession, have seen a gap between the common artist and their fans. as an artist, what matters is the process and joy behind creating new & Inspiring works of original art. the unfortanate aspect of this is that creating original artworks can take 100's of hours. artists are often left with no choice but to price their original artworks at a price tag that most of their fans can not afford.
TRADITIONALLY THIS price GAP between the artist and their fans has been filled with items such as giclee prints, posters, t-shirts, pins, stickers, and as technology has increased, nearly any product under the sun. it is the founders' belief that it still leaves THE MOST IMPORTANT PART of the puzzle unanswered. THAT IS what does the artist do with their original artworK?
the answer is that quite often the artist lowers the price of the original beyond what is sustainable. tHIS MAKES ARTISTS MORE DEPENDANT ON MERCHANDISING THEIR CREATIVITY. its NOT REALLY IDEAL FOR ARTISTS NOR is it ideal for THEIR FANS, WHO WOULD LOVE TO OWN AN ORIGINAL artwork.
